CLUB MEMBERSHIP UPDATE

The 2022-23 season is upon us, and it is now time to renew your Club membership.

Anyone who paid their membership subscription last season will have received an email with a link to the renewal process.  As part of this process all members from last season will be available to renew but you can also add or remove members, change membership type etc. before finalising.

You can also find the membership subscription page in the ClubZap app or on our website at https://www.stmaryscollegerfc.com/membership_signup.  Please note that “new members” in this context are members who have not previously paid their subscription online.  Even if you are a longstanding member, please select the New option if you have not used the site before.

For any members who are uncomfortable with the online process we will set aside time in the club to take you through the process.  Please contact membership@smcrfc.com if you need help or watch the weekly club email for details of planned assistance sessions.

New adult members must apply for Executive Committee approval.  Please contact membership@smcrfc.com for an application form.

If you have multiple members in your family our Family Membership remains great value.  For €300 you can add two adults (one can be an ordinary / adult playing member) and any number of children under 18.  A second adult must be a Clubhouse member to get the Family price. Family memberships are intended for those adult parents with minor children (i.e. a person, their spouse / partner and their children). It is not for adults with adult children.

Ordinary members have voting rights at Club general meetings and have priority access to international tickets where there is excess demand.  Juvenile membership does not give access to purchase international tickets.

All adult members who pay for their membership by 30 September can purchase a single season ticket at the discounted price of €25 (normally €45).  This gives entrance to all home men’s AIL games for the season.

When renewing your subscription, you can select a single payment option or a 3-instalment option.  There is no additional charge if you select instalments; the first payment is immediate with the second 1 month later and the third another month later.

The Club is sourcing juvenile jerseys, shorts, and socks which will be available to purchase in September.  Watch the weekly emails for further details.  If demand exceeds supply priority will be given to those who have paid their membership at time of gear purchase.  Depending on demand additional stock will be sourced for the club shop or you can try samples for sizing and purchase online.

All players and coaches must be paid up members of the Club.  This is for a number of reasons:
a)    We are a member club and all those participating should be paid up members
b)    Insurance is dependent on valid membership
c)    Coaches are Garda vetted based on club membership.  All coaches of juvenile teams must be vetted, or they cannot, under any circumstances, participate with the teams.

If you are a coach for a juvenile team, you should consider Family membership.

We are an equal opportunities club, membership is not dependent on age, gender, sexuality etc.  No member will be left out due to inability to pay – if you are struggling with membership subscriptions, please contact John Bainbridge in confidence at membership@smcrfc.com.

Honorary Membership Secretary,
